Monroe Gierl was a member of the yellow team on NBC's Endurance: Hawaii.

SSM: Knowing all the girls strengths now, if you could go back, would you pick a different partner?
Monroe: H*** NO, Bree was the best partner I could have ever asked for, I don’t blame anyone for us not winning, the challenge that we lost was a game of luck and we all know the temple is luck also so whatever, there’s not much you can do and there is no way to point a finger on something like that, I am so proud of what we both accomplished together and I couldn’t have done it without a kicka** partner like her.

SSM: Who did you want to be your partner when you first were considering?
Monroe: Well, at first I obviously wanted Taylor an then she fell off the poles :-( and then I was thinking Alex and she told me we would be, we all saw how that worked out, she went with Bjorn who we beat at the temple, how ironic, and then no one wanted me so we got put together, kinda like an arranged marriage, lol

SSM: Is there something that you wish you did differently during your stay on Endurance? If so, what?
Monroe: I have no regrets, I made it to the final 3 which is a task in itself, once you get to the final 3 strategy is over, it is either win the challenge or go to temple and I am fine with that, I saw the show before and I knew it would have to come down to it, I cant complain about luck because we got lucky twice before that so hey its fine, but no I don’t wish I changed everything because who knows I mean what if blue didn’t go to temple when we sent them the first time, maybe they would’ve went with us the next time and beat us, who knows I am happy whit everything we learn from our accomplishments but more so our mistakes and the knowledge is invaluable

SSM: What did you learn from being on a show like Endurance?
Monroe: You have to make things happen for yourself, you cant rely on people to do things for you, if you want them done your way, get out there and make it happen

SSM: If you could go back in time when you were on Endurance, Which specific time and event would you go back to?
Monroe: I would so go back to the moment right after I made it thru the right to stay challenge, omg that was the best feeling ever, it was the most stressful to happy moment I have ever experienced, it was amazing,

SSM: Do you still keep in contact with anyone else from Endurance? If so, who?
Monroe: I try to keep in contact with most everyone, there is no one I refuse to talk to, no not even Nicole, much love to all the contestants, I take something away from each of them

SSM: What did you think about the outcome of the game?
Monroe: Well it wasn’t me so that sucked but out of those two teams I said on the show I wanted gray to win, I don’t know how I feel about it all now that is all over but if I said I wanted them to win in the heart of all the emotion then I stand by my inclination

SSM: If you could do this all over again, would you?
Monroe: In a second, that is my dream, to do another season, I want to do one soooooooo bad

SSM: Are contestants allowed to compete more then once?
Monroe: Well, mean look at the grey team on endurance one / brown team on endurance 2, these two teams consist of the same people and the brown team came back and won!

SSM: Did you get to keep any cool souvenirs? If so, what?
Monroe: I have 2 of my 3 samadhis, I forgot the rope at the challenge, ugh I could kick myself for that, I have my shirts and stuff, I have Alex's green bandana, ummmm a coconut shell cup and a few other fun things

SSM: Did you have a crush on any of the girls there?
Monroe: Nope, it wasn’t what I was looking for, the stress of just getting thru another day each and every day was enough for me to deal with

SSM: Since being on Endurance, have you considered any more acting plans?
Monroe: I would like to do the Real World on MTV and I am most likely going to attend an acting oriented college

SSM: What mission was the hardest for you?
Monroe: Right to Stay, it was physically and mentally one of the toughest challenges, it is scary, stressful, sad, hard, painful, any bad adjective u can think of, it fits, but omg I am sooo proud of myself that I did it.

SSM: Is there anyone from the show you just couldn't stand?
Monroe: While I was there s*** everyone got on my nerves at one point or another lol, but now no way, everyone is soo much cooler in real life when we aren’t fighting for something, we are all so different so of course there is going to be conflict

SSM: How often was J.D. around?
Monroe: J.D. is with us a lot, when you see him he is obviously there but he is the executive producer so of course he is a busy guy, I mean if he isn’t on camera he is off doing something for the show, just because you don’t see him doesn’t mean he isn’t working, he is a great guy and I owe him and everyone who works on endurance so much I cant say enough good things about him.

SSM: You guys were never shown eating, was the food any good?
Monroe: The food was not an issue, we were covered with that but not nearly the good candy or chips or good stuff you would want

SSM: Thank you Monroe
Monroe: No prob hunny
