Okay so I got to the doors at 7:30, the concert was being held at a night club in Toronto. It wasn't too bad of a wait to get in. When I got up to security they told me I couldn't bring in my camera which really made me mad because the lady was giving me major attitude haha. So me and my friend got inside and there was no seating. We had tickets for the front. But since there was no seating you could go anywhere. We were like a hundred rows back and the concert hadn't started so we went to the bathroom and came back. We managed to squirm into about the 5th row or so which was a pretty good view. The club had music playing before anyone came out to perform...which was good because the actual concert didn't start until 9 o'clock.
First up was Frank N Dank who were orginally not supposed to perform but one of the other performers cancelled and they took the place which I was happy about because I had never even heard of the other band. So Frank N Dank performed some songs off their album. Some of them I had never heard before but I was impressed. They ended off with their newest single "Nice to meet ya" and had gotten the audience really pumped. In between the next set up was some more music and dancing and also a couple of newcoming rappers that I had never seen before but were really good.
Next up was Slum Village. By this time my friend and I had managed to get to the very front. There set up took a long time because they had a video going on the wall behind them that kind of narrated their performance. While everyone was waiting there was more music and lots of cd's etc being thrown into the audience. I didn't catch one but the guy standing beside me got one that fell on the floor between us.I wasn't about to dive down in that crowd just to get to a CD. So Slum Village started up. I'd have to say they were the longest performance. They probably performed almost their whole album. I liked the whole video touch. One of the guys from the group threw his water bottle out into the crowd and it hit me and everyone around was like what the heck was that. We didn't know it was a water bottle until afterwards but I thought it was pretty funny. Again, Slum Village ended with their newest single "Selfish". I was really surprised at the organization of them, having lights and props and still taking the least time to get on to perform.
Now this is when people started getting edgy. This girl kept pushing me and everyone was getting tired and/or bored. It was about a half an hour of music and it seemed like forever but everyone knew who was up next and the final performance. Yup, D12. The fake smoke started going and the music started and everyone started screaming and finally Kuniva came out (as far as I remember). Slowly band members came out and lastly Bizarre came out with the best outfit I've ever seen a guy wear. He had a huge pink furry cape on and a bonnet and everyone was hysterical. They started doing some more songs and Swift kept coming over to our side most of the time and he kept whipping the front row people with his towel and we were trying to grab onto it whenever he came near. He probably got the crowd riled up the most by giving everyone the finger. I wasn't really paying much attention to the other guys because Bizarre and Swift are my fav from the group and were performing mostly near where i was...which was good of course.
Finally when it was getting later and we knew it was going to end soon we left so that we could beat the crowd. I got out and went to get my camera and some people started talking to me but I went like temporarily deaf because i was right beside the speaker and I couldn't understand what anyone was saying. I tried phoning up the person who was picking me up but had to get my friend to pretend to be me because I couldn't hear. I was mad that I couldn't get pictures still when a saw a million people who got away with it and I didn't have anything to remember the concert with so me and my friend got a whole bunch of huge posters that were advertising for the concert and ones that would be there later off of the poles outside. By the time I got home my ears were fine again. It was 2 o'clock and I was pretty tired. Overall though the concert was AWESOME and I had a blast.
